The Sex Talk: Talking To Your Kids About Sex In The 21st Century
with Dr. Logan Levkoff, Ph.D
Logan Levkoff, a sexologist and sexuality educator with an expertise in childhood and adolescent sexuality, will guide parents on how to talk to their kids about sex and sexuality. Whether you have a toddler or a teen, Dr. Levkoff will provide parents with tools to approach this topic with clarity and comfort.
The workshop will cover the following topics:
• How to answer your children's questions about sex and sexuality in a factual and sex positive way.
• How to feel empowered as a parent when tackling topics that relate to sex & sexuality with your children
• How to teach your children to develop a healthy understanding of sexuality
• How parents can become the person a child comes to with those difficult questions
• How to help your children make sense of the sex filled and often confusing messages that stem from media
Dr. Logan Levkoff is a nationally renowned sexologist and sexuality educator with an expertise in childhood and adolescent sexuality and parent-child communication about sex. She designs and implements sex ed programs in schools across the country. She has served on the Board of Directors of the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). She is the author of: "Got Teens? The Doctor Moms' Guide to Sexuality, Social Media, and Other Adolescent Realities," and "Third Base Ain't What it Used to be”. As a thought leader in the field of human sexuality and personal relationships, Logan frequently appears on television including Good Morning America, The Today Show, The Rachael Ray Show, The CBS Early Show, Oprah, Fox News Channel, and CNN.
Logan is dedicated to perpetuating healthy and positive messages about sexuality and relationships. She speaks on a wide range of issues, including sexual health and sexuality education, trends in sexuality, relationship hurdles, and the role of sexuality in pop culture and politics. For over a decade, Logan has been teaching groups of all ages and from a variety of backgrounds. She has designed and implemented sexuality education programs, faculty development, and parent education in many secular and religious independent schools, universities, medical schools, and community organizations. Logan’s work with teens and parents has been profiled in numerous publications, including The New York Times.
